The Blood Ran Black

Vision of Lord Jesus on the Cross

Spring, 2013

In the name of the lord Jesus Christ I share a testimony. This testimony is about God’s everlasting love towards us. This happened about one year ago in 2013 when I was 10 years old and in 4th grade. We were having a Spiritual Convocation at True Jesus Church in Irvine, California in the Spring of 2013. We were having afternoon prayer.

I was asking God to forgive my sins. I said to God, "You know what my sins are. Please forgive my sins." I was very concentrated. I felt an urge to keep praying  earnestly until the prayer was finished.

While I was praying, I saw a vision. I felt like I entered a different world and dimension. I went back in time and saw Jesus on the cross. His cross was planted on a rocky ground, with tiny patches of grass. The sky was dark. I was standing in front to the side of him, at around the 5 o'clock position. I also saw the other two robbers crucified next to him on each side.

When I saw Jesus hanging on the cross, I saw blood and water, separate and distinct, gushing out the side of his body, about five inches wide, and three inches thick, continuously flowing. Usually blood will not flow that much but I witnessed this fountain of blood continuing to flow out of his body. The blood and water continued to flow but when it reached the ground it turned black in color. Originally it was a blood red color, but it turned black. The black blood poured down the hill, like a small stream, branching out throughout the rocky ground.

Jesus' head was bowing down. He looked like He was full of sadness. I saw lines of blood on his face starting from where the thorns poked his forehead. His arms were spread out like a T but the weight of his body pulled down so it was like a Y with his body a little bit pulled forward away from the cross. His face was pale and his skin was like olive colored. There was blood on His chest. There was a bolt nailing the point where his wrist meets his palm on each of his arms. His legs looked like they were crossed together but I couldn't see the rest.

I saw this vision for about five to ten minutes. Tears flowed down my face. I felt very thankful and sorrowful at the same time.  After that the vision went blank, I kept thinking about it until the end of prayer.

In the next prayer I asked God what it meant. I kept praying and trying until an inspiration came to me from the Holy Spirit.

The inspiration said, as written in the Bible, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  -- John 3:16

Then Jesus said I died for you and everyone because He loves us very much. But our sins are so many that they turned the blood from red to black. After that I was in tears of happiness. After prayer I didn’t tell anyone except my parents.

Thoughts from mother:

After I heard my son’s testimony, I was pondering why Lord Jesus chose to show this vision to him.  I thought about it more in the next prayer. While praying, tears flowed down my face as the words of this hymn 296A “According to Thy Gracious Word” started to reverberate in my mind. This was not a hymn I would normally sing. But yet most of the words became very clear during the prayer.  Each one of the words pricked my heart to tears. The sacrifice of our Lord Jesus is very real, but often, we choose to neglect it, disregard it, and ungratefully ignore it.

According to thy gracious word,
In meek humility,
This will I do, my dying Lord!
I will remember Thee.

Thy body, broken for my sake,
My bread from heaven shall be;
Thy testamental cup I take,
And thus remember Thee?

Gethsemane can I forget?
Or there Thy conflict see,
Thine agony and bloody sweat,
And not remember Thee?

When to the cross I turn mine eyes
And rest on Calvary,
O Lamb of God, my sacrifice!
I must remember Thee:--

Remember Thee, and all Thy pains,
And all Thy love to me;
Yea, while a breath, a pulse remains,
Will I remember Thee.

And when these failing lips grow dumb,
And mind and memory flee,
When Thou shalt in Thy Kingdom come,
Jesus, remember me.
